Terms and conditions

  1. Neither the BY Construction Training and the Indiana Construction Roundtable Foundation nor its community and employer partners can guarantee the offer of employment upon completion of the BY Construction Training program.
  2. Funding for student tuition is provided by third-party partners. To be eligible to receive tuition funding, students may be required to complete eligibility and enrollment processes, as prescribed by the funder. This may include, but not be limited to, the following:
    • Meet with third-party staff outside of class time for career counseling and/or guidance;
    • Complete assessments, such as TABE or Indiana Career Explorer;
    • Complete eligibility and enrollment paperwork, including identification, employment and education background, family financial history; and other personal information; and/or
    • Participate in other, related programs, outside of class-time, which may include, but are not limited to: adult basic education, employability skills workshops, reentry workshops, and/or financial counseling.
  3. In order to apply and enroll into BY Training, prospective students must consent to the following:
    • Criminal Background Check Consent and Release;
    • Drug and Alcohol Free Learning Environment Consent and Release; and
    • Media Release.
  4. BY Construction, and the Indiana Construction Roundtable Foundation, will make reasonable accommodation to allow a person with disabilities to take part in a program, service, or activity, in compliance with requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. If students believe that they will not be able to understand or take part in a program or activity because of a disability, they should notify the Indiana Construction Roundtable in advance to share their disability needs in advance.

REFUND POLICY:

  1. A student is entitled to a full refund if one or more of the following criteria are met:

    • The student cancels enrollment in writing within six business days of the start of the class;
    • The student does not meet minimum admission requirements;\
    • If the student has not visited the training site prior to enrollment and upon touring the training site, the student withdrawals in writing from the program within three days;
    • The student was recruited and enrolled into the program as a result of a misrepresentation in the written materials utilized by the Indiana Construction Roundtable Foundation
  2. A student who withdraws from the training program in writing after starting the program is entitled to partial refund under the following criteria:

    • A student that withdraws in writing within one week or less of class starting will be entitled to a refund of 90%;
    • A student that withdraws in writing after attending more than one week, but less than 25% of the training program, is entitled to a refund of 75%;
    • A student that withdraws in writing after attending more than 25%, but less than 50% of the training program duration, is entitled to a refund 50%;
    • A student that withdraws in writing after attending more than 50%, but equal to or less than 60% of the training program duration is entitled to a refund of 40%;
    • A student that withdraws in writing after attending more than 60% if the training program duration is note entitled to a refund.
  3. All withdrawals must be submitted in writing to the Indiana Construction Roundtable Foundation.

  4. Unreported absences from class are considered to be “attendance” under the refund policy.

  5. Failure by the student to provide notice of absence or withdrawal from class shall not be construed as written notice as required by this refund policy.

  6. The Indiana Construction Roundtable Foundation will process eligible refunds within thirty-one days of receiving written notice of withdrawal.
